Steel Pulse FC - Maryland Majors Champs!

Steel Pulse FC have climbed the mountain and have won their 1st Maryland Major Soccer League championship defeating perennial power Christos FC 3-2 in an exciting championship game on Sunday 30 June at Millford Mill Academy. Christos the fall 2018 Maryland Majors champion had defeated Steel Pulse 2-0 during the regular season and led 2-1  in the championship final until Steel Pulse equalized in the 64th minutes. The final 25 minutes was a back and forth affair with both sides creating chances. Finally, Steel Pulse found the winner in the 90th minute.

The 2018-2019 has been a break through year for the Steel Pulse FC club coached by Mike Pieterson . In fall of 2018, the club won the Maryland Majors 2nd division going undefeated 11-0-1 (w-l-d) and earning promotion to the 1st Division. In the Maryland State Soccer Association Rowland Cup they advanced to the semi-finals defeating two Washington DC Premier League (WPL) clubs along the way before losing a heart breaker to Christos in the semi-finals 3-4 (a.e.t.). This spring, Steel Pulse finished #2 in the regular season with a 6-2-1 record, defeated #3 Academy FC in the semi-finals before facing Christos in the spring championship game.  In all competitions in the USSF 2018-2019 seasonal year, Steel Pulse FC is 21-4-2 (w-l-d) and champion of the Maryland Major Soccer League. This summer Steel Pulse FC will test them selves against some USASA Region I competition in the Northeast Elite Soccer League (NESL).
