In a match interrupted by a 30 minute thunderstorm and the lights going off at the facility, World Class Premier Elite FC managed by Jide Saba won the 2018 spring Maryland Major Soccer League championship defeating J.A. Raiders FC in the final by a score of 2-1.

World Class Premier completed the regular season a top the table with a 5-1-2 (17pts, W-L-D) record and earned an immediate berth into the championship game. There they awaited the outcome of the semi-final between the #2 seed Academy FC (15 pts, 4-1-3) and JA Raiders (9 pts, 3-5-0). JA Raiders prevailed on penalty kicks 4-3 after the match was tied 1-1 (a.e.t.)
