The club is made up of active duty, reserve, National Guard service members, and civilians assigned to Fort Meade. Server players are part of the All-Service teams for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corp. Meade United manager Bernard Koelesh said, "we are looking forward to joining Maryland Major Soccer in the spring, and hope to bring our best competition against the great clubs in Division II South."

Maryland Majors Commissioner Bill George said, "Meade United is a class club who have tested themselves against the military's best teams and now look to test themselves in an elite USASA Amateur League. We are honored that Meade United chose the Maryland Majors and we expect that they will make an immediate impact in the spring of 2019."
