The Maryland Major Soccer League is pleased to announce All Stars United as a new expansion team for the spring 2019 season who will compete in the 2nd Division South.

The club, comprised of a core of players from Ghana, has been competing for 5+ years in the Arlington Premier League and Howard County League winning various trophies and is now eager to compete against the best in a USASA Elite Amateur League - Maryland Majors.

The club is led by President, CEO, and Head Coach Julius Incoom, Vice President and Team Doctor Yaw Owuso Poku, and Operations Managers Solomon Ntiamoah.

Maryland Majors Commissioner Bill George said, "we welcome club President Julius, Dr. Poku, and Mr. Ntiamoah and their club All Stars United to the Maryland Majors. We are excited to see their talent on the field and confident that their players will quickly appreciate the caliber of play of the Maryland Majors and the exposure provided."

Maryland Majors Director of Operations Nigel Fullerton said, "the Maryland Majors has established itself as the preeminent league in the Mid-Atlantic in terms of competition, fields, and organization all while keeping costs and travel to a minimum. We welcome and wish All Stars United luck in their inaugural season."

About the Maryland Major Soccer League

The Maryland Major Soccer League formed in 1965 and its predecessor leagues date back to the early 1920s. The League has been the home to numerous State, Regional, and USASA National Champions.  Maryland Major clubs are eligible to compete in the USASA National Amateur Cup via qualifying through the Maryland State Soccer Association Amateur Cup. The USASA National Amateur Cup winner claims the Fritz Marth National Amateur Cup, $15,000 in prize money, and direct entry into the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. All Maryland Major Soccer League clubs are also eligible to compete in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup qualifiers. On multiple occurrences Maryland Major clubs have qualified for the US Open Cup highlighted by 2017 run by Christos FC to the 4th round where they dropped a hard fought match to DC United of MLS in front of a sold out MarylandSoccerPlex stadium. Maryland Majors 1st Division side World Class Premier is currently in the 4th round of qualifying and is one win away from qualifying for the 2019 US Open Cup.
